Then try these delicious energy balls for a healthy swap, full of nutritious ingredients!
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup dates (remove pits and soak in warm water for 10 minutes and drain)
3 Tbsp natural peanut butter
1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate (vegan option: dairy-free dark chocolate)
1 Tbsp chia seeds
2/3 cup old-fashioned oats
METHOD:
Add the dates to a blender and blend until they crush into small pieces
Add oats, peanut butter, chia seeds and chocolate and pulse until combined. You want the dough to be uniform and in small pieces but not mashed.
Roll into balls and place on a tray lined with parchment paper.
Freeze for 15 minutes and store in the fridge.
