Asian Inspired, High-Protein Lettuce Wraps


Asian lettus wraps













Enjoy these flavorful and healthy Asian-inspired lettuce wraps, perfect for a light yet satisfying meal. Packed with protein and fresh vegetables, they're a great way to enjoy a balanced diet. Ideal for warm summer days, these wraps are refreshing and light, making them an excellent choice for a cool and tasty dish.





Ingredients:

  • 500g ground chicken

  • 100g finely chopped mushrooms

  • 100g finely chopped carrots

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 2 tsp rice flour (optional for thickening)

  • Lettuce leaves, for serving



Instructions:

  1. Cook the Chicken: In a large pan, cook the ground chicken until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  2. Sauté the Vegetables: In the same pan, sauté mushrooms, carrots, onion, garlic, and ginger until softened and fragrant.

  3. Combine: Add the cooked chicken back into the pan with the vegetables.

  4. Add Sauce Ingredients: Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, and lime juice. Stir well to combine.

  5. Optional Thickening: If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix in the rice flour and cook until the desired consistency is reached.

  6. Serve: Spoon the mixture into lettuce leaves and enjoy as wraps.
